February 2004

Above the clouds
Above the clouds
Photo: Stuart Lowe

Explanation: This photograph shows the view, looking south, from the summit of Snowdon in North Wales. It was taken on 2nd January 2004 and you can see that there was still snow and ice around. It had been a clear morning but as we reached the point where the Pyg and Miner's tracks join, the cloud came in. Luckily, as we reached the summit, the cloud cleared to give us a view and a brocken spectre.
