Ghosts of Cadair Idris
Ghosts of Cadair Idris
Photo: Grahame Watson

Explanation: This photograph of a brocken spectre was taken during the ascent of Cadair Idris, on the mid October 2003 Meet. The spectre is so named after the Brocken, the highest peak in the Harz Mountains in central Germany. At 3,734 feet, it is famous for its "spectre" caused by its own shadow cast on the clouds.
