Explanation: This month's photograph shows Colin Lowe silhouetted against the sun near the top of Snowdon. At the New Year meet there was a fair covering of snow and a dozen members climbed Snowdon via the Pyg Track from Pen Y Pass. The photo was taken on a bank of snow that was covering the railway line not too far from the summit. The clearing cloud made the sun look very large and diffuse.
