A55 Traffic Control Centre
This site is funded by the National Assembly for Wales and contains information about travel in North Wales. It has the latest information on the A55 as well as 18 different webcams from Holyhead to Deeside. There are also plenty of links for other forms of transport such as rail and the National Cycleway. A really useful website to plan your journey with.
Adventure Centre Ltd.
A specialist outdoor camping/climbing shop based in Warrington. Their website offers a "huge range of stock at very cheap prices". They also give group discounts for outdoor groups.

The Beacon Climbing Wall
This is the official site of the Wall just up the track from the CMC. Why not have a look at a 360o picture of the inside of The Beacon. To be able to see them you will need to have the Quicktime 3 plugin.

This is the official Ordnance Survey Web-Site. From this page you can find information on Ordnance Survey Maps eg Landranger and the Outdoor Leisure Series. You can even download an OS Screensaver. Unfortunately this page can be a bit slow in loading as there are a lot of graphics.
Peak District National Park
Situated in the heart of England, the Peak District National Park lies at the southern end of the Pennines between Sheffield and Manchester. It was the first Park to be set up in Britain in 1951 and covers parts of six counties.
Pennine Way
The Pennine Way is Britain's first and best known National Trail. The Trail runs from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm just over the Scottish Border. This site has information on the Pennine Way for walkers and hikers as well as soil erosion and conservation.
Pete's Eats
Following the improvements to Pete's Eats, the website is now back and is bigger and better than before. As well as the most important things such as opening times/menu/price list there is now a section for the new Information Centre upstairs. You can even search through their list of new climbing routes in North Wales.

Snowdon Mountain Railway
Here you will find information about the train services and facilities provided by the railway. Also included is information about the railway and the locomotives in service.
Streetmap.co.uk
Search for a map of virtually any place in Britain by postcode, street name, grid ref etc. The map data is taken from OS maps and is shown in blocks of 1000m square. You can enlarge the view as well as pan in any direction. Highly recommended by Roy Turner (a CHAmois Member).
Tide Tables for Climbing Areas in the UK
The Climbers-Club provides tables detailing the tide times for seven areas of the United Kingdom (Holyhead, Stackpole Quay, Ramsey, Lundy Island, Lizard Point, Penzance, St Ives). The tables cover about three months so are very large files (~100Kb)
The Great Little Trains of Wales
The Great Little Trains of Wales are narrow gauge railways built through the beautiful scenery of north and west Wales. They originally served to carry Welsh slate from hill to harbour.

Cairngorm Weather Station
The Automatic Weather Station is run by Heriot-Watt University. Situated on the summit of Cairn Gorm, it provides temperature and wind data every half hour. The are also pictures which are provided by a camera looking up the hill.
Met Office Web-Site
This is the official Met Office Web-Site. You can find out the weather in your area (of the UK) over the next 24 hours as well as a UK Cities 3-day forecast. You can also get satellite pictures.
