CENTRE USAGE & LOCATION

There are 43 beds for hire and the centre is ideal for use by mountaineering clubs, hill-walking groups, university climbing clubs, mountain biking clubs, road cycling clubs and  school & college groups and other groups wishing to participate in outdoor activities in Snowdonia (Eryri), North Wales. The centre is within a short drive of Llanberis and Caernarfon and offers self-catered, bunk bed, hostel style accommodation and can be booked for weekends or longer periods. It is close to all of the popular hill wallking areas such as the Llanberis Pass, Ogwen and Beddgelert and is ideally situated for any group wishing to walk, mountaineer or climb in the mountains of Snowdonia. It is even possible to walk from the centre over Moel Eilio and thence to the summit of Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) itself. The centre forms an excellent base for rock climbing at areas such as the slate quarries, the Llanberis Pass and Tremadog. Canoeing and sailing facilities are also easily accessible at the coast and on Anglesey. 

The Centre is located at Ceunant in Snowdonia (Eryri), North Wales Grid Reference SH532608, Postcode LL55 4SA on the north westerly slopes of the Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) massif  230m (750 ft) above sea level and enjoys fine views of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsula. It is 10 minutes from Llanberis and 15 minutes from Caernarfon. All of the popular walking tracks up Snowdon (Yr Wydffa) such as the Pyg Track, the Snowdon Ranger Path or the Watkin Path are within a short drive from the centre. Popular North Wales villages such as Beddgelert and Betws y Coed are also easily accessed from the centre.
