Here at The Chamois Mountaineering Club Ltd we take the privacy of our members’ data seriously and will only use your personal information for club administration purposes and for communicating with you about your membership. Only the holders of the relevant club posts roles (Membership Secretary, Treasurer and Webmaster) will be able to access your details. As a BMC-affiliated club we will provide your name, contact details and date of birth to the BMC to administer your membership of the BMC including your combined liability insurance cover. The BMC will use your data to communicate with you about your membership. The BMC will contact you to invite you to create a ‘Member Profile’ which, amongst other things, allows you to set and amend your privacy settings. The club also has in place a policy to allow the Chamois Mountaineering Centre to be used at the same time by club members, and by an outside booking which includes children and young people. this is achieved by separating the property into two separate self-contained units. This is also to comply with the BMC's policy on Child Protection/Safeguarding.
